American Fellowship in Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery

Dr. Farid Al-Ghamdi works as a consultant head, neck, nose, ear and throat surgeon   at Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh

He also works part-time at Al-Habib Hospital, Olaya Branch, Riyadh

Heads the training program of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties to train fellow doctors in the specialty of ENT-head and neck surgery since 2019

Participated in a large number of seminars and conferences internally and externally since 2006

He has research papers published in well-known medical journals

Fellow of the American College of Surgeons 

He obtained the Saudi Board of Otolaryngology in 2011

He obtained a fellowship from King Saud University in the same specialty in 2012

He obtained the European Board of Head and Neck Surgery in 2014

He holds a micro-fellowship from the College of Medicine, Augusta University, Georgia, USA, in 2016 in head and neck tumor surgery and microsurgery 

He spent 6 months of it in thyroid and parathyroid surgery with Professor David Terris  during which he performed 300 delicate operations using the traditional method and the surgical robot Davinci

Completed the Micro-Fellowship in Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgery 2018 from the University of Miami, Florida 

He holds a license to practice the profession in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the US state of Georgia and Florida.

It treats goiter, parathyroid glands and tumors.​
